There was a time when mobile phones were considered to be technological breakthrough. Nevertheless, we didn’t stay amazed for long. Cellular technologies began to evolve rapidly and as a result of that progress many impressive devices were created. Devices that didn’t just allow us to talk and communicate, but opened a number of new opportunities. Nowadays we are able to send text messages and e-mail each other from our cellphones, browse the Web and much more.
Well, just for your information various cellphone makers as well as other major players in the industry didn’t stop there. For instance, check out what Microsoft in collaboration with Mitsubishi is thinking of doing. Researchers at Microsoft and Mitsubishi are working on a new pseudo-transparent touch screen system that allows users type text, click hyperlinks, and navigate maps from both the front and back of a portable device. A semitransparent image of the fingers touching the back of the device is placed on the front so that users will be able to observe what they’re touching.
