Football Manager Simulations have certainly developed a cult following over the last decade. Countless hours have been joyously wasted scouring the transfer market for that hidden youth destined to be a superstar or those last minute changes before an important fixture. (Fixture means match for those of us west of the pond.) Now Sports Interactive, arguably the leader in football manager games is coming to the iPhone. How exactly SI made all of the information from the computer version available on the iPhone is a mystery. Football Manager is jammed with loads of information that is essential when playing. The iPhone’s small screen can certainly makes this a challenge. If SI created a watered down version of Football Manager, they may alienate some fans who make the transition from computer to handset. It would make more sense for a game such as this to be available on a slate like the iPad, but that may very well be the next move in the evolutionary chain. The Football Manager iPhone version is scheduled for release tomorrow.
