Big news out of Deutschland boy and girls. A German tech firm called Neofonie is set to release a pad in Germany next month. Dubbed the WePad, specifications are superior to that of the iPad if you believe the current information in the blogosphere. The WePad has a 1.66 GHz processor and is powered by Android. In addition, the WePad will come equipped with USB ports, a SIM slot and MircoSD slot, not to mention Flash capabilities. (Thank God!) An Android operating system will mean that multitasking will be available, which will certainly come in handy when you are using the WePad’s camera. (You hear that Steve? That damn thing has a camera.) I would be shocked if the WePad has better visuals than the iPad, but everything else, from price to specs should favor WePad considerably. The big disadvantage for the WePad is branding. After Windows, that silver Apple is the strongest brand in the tech market.
