Apple was quick to sue Nokia, but it appears that the court system is not in the same hurry. Reports have surfaced that the litigation between Nokia and Apple will not take place until 2012. For those who are not aware, Nokia and Apple have sued each other for patent infringement technology. As was stated on this blog several weeks ago, this fiasco could drag on for eons without a final resolution coming to fruition. The reason? Because politicians and those in the corporate community don’t want to touch this mess. Don’t be surprised if this whole legal scandal dies out and is never mentioned again long before 2012 comes around. As is usual in these cases, money will be exchanged quietly, patent licensing will be agreed upon and some deals struck in the basement of some concrete monstrosity. These are the ways of the corporate world and they are not about to change.
