It appears that the South Korean Government is a little peeved at Google. (What is it with Google and the Asian market anyway?) The regulatory body in South Korea has yet to approve the 4000 or so games available to Android users in the country. Google has apparently received notice, but it remains unclear regarding what they need to do exactly in order to get into the good graces of the Korean Government. In any case, how the heck this so called regulatory office hopes to approve and rate 4000 different games in a short period of time is beyond me. In addition, it seems that South Korea didn’t realize that Android is an open platform and ‘open’ means you take the bad with the good. This will probably be solved without much of a kerfuffle however and without the gnashing of teeth that resulted when China got a little scared about the possibility of their citizens receiving real information from around the world.
