The Vatican is set to launch an official app for the iPhone. Hell bent (no pun intended) on spreading religious fanaticism across mobile channels; the Catholic Church has decided to embrace cutting edge social technology. This move by the Pope and his gang is not the first religious application for the iPhone. Several already exist in the App Store for your religious pleasure. The Vatican has decreed however, that theirs is the official app of the Catholic movement. Video messages will be sent to the masses that download the application to their phones. This would be extremely beneficial to men who are dragged to church every Sunday and then accused of not paying attention to the sermon. ‘Honest dear. I wasn’t listening to the Football game, I swear. It’s this new app from the Vatican!’ Not that any self respecting woman would believe that. On a side note: as an equal opportunity hater, I believe that someone should make an app for Satan worshippers. Fair is fair.
