More and more lawsuits are hounding the mobile industry. Though to be fair, there are so many patent infringement accusations that they are hardly news anymore. In a new development, a judge in Delaware has ordered to place the Nokia-Apple dispute on hold while the ITC conduct an investigation into the matter. Apple is fighting a war on two fronts with the lawsuit against HTC in which the iPhone maker claims that the Taiwanese Smartphone manufacturer has infringed on no less than 20 of its patents. Of course, all of these lawsuits are just saber rattling. There is very little pragmatic value in patent infringement lawsuits between big corporations. Apple however, is the antagonist regarding this whole fiasco. We all remember Lord Jobs borrowing the classic line from Picasso: ‘Good artists copy, great artists steal.’ There is nothing artistic about Steve Jobs, but he is certainly a one of the great thieves of the last two decades.
