Rumors and expectations are flying high with the possibility of a mobile version of Firefox coming to the Android. Dubbed Fennec by Firefox creators Mozilla, this mobile browser could appear on Android powered phones as early as the end of 2010. Mozilla VP of Mobile, Jay Sullivan, confirmed that Fennec could be made available in Q4 of 2010. Firefox is one of the most popular web browsers in the world and is beloved by many in the tech community. It has not managed to penetrate the mainstream crowd to the same extent. Firefox offers users the luxury of making many alterations and additions to their web browser and keeps them in almost full control of their web browsing experience. How much of this flexibility will translate to the mobile version is unclear, but some believe that Fennec is a watered down creation when compared to Firefox and will not offer the same level of customization.
