Apple is all geared up for the supposed unveiling of the new tablet 48 hours from now in San Francisco. Hordes of Apple worshippers, some who would love nothing more than to serve Steve Jobs as body slaves or even nibble on his feces, are waiting breathlessly. (It wouldn’t surprise us if several Applites suffered a heart attack leading up to the unveiling. What worries some industry experts is the misguided and ignorant opinion that anything Apple does turns into magic and makes our world a better place. Apple has had a single industry changing invention throughout their history. That of course, is the iPod Touch. The iPhone is really just an iPod with a phone and the Mac, while a very good product overall, was not really a game changer when look at the tech industry from a macro prospective. It would be wise for Apple disciples to keep their pants on until the tablet is released. There is a better than average chance that it could turn into a real bust.
