Starting today, Palm Pre Plus and Palm Pixi Plus will be available courtesy of Verizon Wireless. Both handsets are reasonably priced after mail in rebate. In addition, Verizon is offering an additional free Pixi Plus after mail in rebate with the purchase of one of the two devices. Both Palm phones come with 3G capabilities and a Wi-Fi hotspot service that can be accessed with up to five phones simultaneously. The only kicker is that the latter will cost $40 for 50GB of bandwidth – outrageously overpriced in our honest opinion. Verizon will enslave new customers with a two year sentence, which is worth taking into consideration before purchasing one of these phones. We have become staunch supporters of purchasing a handset from a third party, instead of enslaving your soul to the wireless thieves. The Palm is still considered a top tier phone, though its overall success has been rather disappointing.
