Canadians, who were able to put down their hockey sticks and Tim Horton’s coffee long enough, would surely have noticed that the Android 2.1 will soon be available for the HTC Magic. The HTC Magic is offered in Canada by Roger’s Communications, the largest wireless provider in the great white north. The upgrade is scheduled for release sometime in the middle of 2010 and pundits believe that despite the significantly weaker specs found on the Magic when compared to the Nexus One, the upgrade should still function properly and efficiently. Dream owners will not be able to enjoy the same upgrade, with HTC claiming that the hardware requirements to run the Android 2.1 are beyond the Dream’s capabilities. On a more serious note: Roger Communications has unofficially announced that they want nothing to do with the Toronto Blue Jays and are perfectly willing to let the baseball team sink into oblivion. Thanks Rogers for being such a wonderful and caring company.
