WebOS 1.3.5 for the Palm Pre is set to launch as soon as today. Sprint touted the new mobile operating system on their website, proudly announcing the upgrade to their flagship handset that has never really lived up to the hype it received prior to its initial launch. WebOS 1.3.5 offer several features and some upgrades. Some of these upgrades include improvement in battery life (we'll believe it when we see it), quick launch of Google Maps or Sprint Nav and the ability to play video from MMS. That’s it really. This barely warrants consideration as an upgrade when you think about it, but I guess anything new with the Palm Pre at this stage is beneficial. The upgrade is also intended for the budget equivalent of the Pre, called the Pixi. The upgrade will take place over the air, so Palm users should be seeing it in fairly short order.
