Amazon has launched a new app called Kindle for iPhone App. The Kindle for iPhone App (awkward name) allows iPhone and iPod owners to use their units as if they were Kindle devices. This is common sense on the part of Amazon, as due to cross platform technology; it would only be a matter of time until the Kindle became obsolete. Kindle for iPhone App is available in 60 countries around the world and will soon be available on BlackBerry devices as well via BlackBerry App World. The Kindle device itself, is the best selling reader on the market today and was designed by Amazon to allow users to purchase and read books available at Amazon.com. Kindle for iPhone App users, in addition to the massive amounts of literature they will be able to enjoy, can also download cookbooks, children’s books, travel books and basically anything else that has words.
