The stigma that Canadians are a polite and reserved bunch was partially disproven recently when Rogers spanked Bell Mobility with a lawsuit, citing Bell’s commercials in British Columbia to be untrue, or at best unproven. Bell has recently aired several commercials, touting their HSPA service and claiming that their network is more reliable than Rogers’ own service. Rogers has asked the courts to block Bell from airing what they consider to be utter nonsense. Let us not forget that previously, another Canadian carrier called Telus, took legal action against Rogers for a similar commercial. All this chest thumping and fist shaking is rather pathetic if you ask me, though this is probably lost on the average consumer who has longed since learned to ignore such petty squabbling. In fact, most Canadians dislike all three carriers equally for limiting them on types of downloads and how they use their phones in general. Of course, Rogers is probably hated more than the other two because of the woeful Toronto Blue Jays.
