Google is certainly an endless machine that churns out new and improved software and services on an almost daily basis. Google Earth 2.0 for the iPhone is certainly a continuation of this successful trend. Google Earth 2.0 is now available in seven languages and wields a new and improved interface, making navigating and selection much easier. Reports have surfaced that more than 220,000 users have left comments and thoughts about the app. This of course includes comments such as ‘Thanks’, ‘You Rock’ and ‘I love Yahoo’. This should not diminish such an unprecedented accomplishment, as 220,000 is still an astronomical number. Kudos to Apple for agreeing to add a Google app to its App Store. After the whole Google Voice fiasco, we weren’t sure if that would happen. On a sad note, Google Earth was not available in my country’s app store. Short changed yet again by the profiteering scumbags! Oh well…
