SimCity, the classic city management game is now available on the iPhone and iPod Touch. SimCity gives you total and absolute authorities over an entire city, as you govern and dictate the lives of thousands of Sims on a grand scale. Build neighborhoods and infrastructure, as well as essential city services to ensure that your constituents have the best standard of living possible. The iPhone version of this timeless PC classic does have a few bugs, but is still a bargain at a measly five dollars. As with many games for the iPhone and iPod, we must question how the small screen and limited controls allow for the smooth play of a game filled with so much micromanagement. Personally, I remember needing every inch of computer screen in order to play the game properly, which means that this version of SimCity must have gotten a decent overhaul in order to compensate for the much smaller screen. SimCity is one of the best computer games ever made, regardless of genre. Don’t miss out.
