Wikipedia Mobile is now available in the App Store. The bastion of free, if at times questionable, information can now be accessed completely free on iPhone and the iPod. There have been several third party developers that have created Wiki type apps for the iPhone in the past, but this is the first official app by Wikipedia. Wikipedia Mobile does not store any information on your mobile device, but does provide you with an interface that makes searching Wikipedia on your iPhone all the more convenient. Much like its web counterpart, Wikipedia Mobile does not come with any colorful additions or fancy gizmos. It is Wikipedia in its purest form. Now when you wake up at 3 am, wondering how tall the average Argentinean is or how many Sardines are in a can, you can use your iPhone instead of trudging over to your computer. The world will never be the same again.
