RIM has unveiled their new security unit called Smart Card Reader. Smart Card Reader is an external device that enables Enterprise Server security features utilizing Bluetooth and AES-256 encryption. It allows system administrators to monitor and control permissions and security remotely and is small enough to fit in your pocket. I am guessing that this can also be quite handy in the private sector for those of you who would rather your wife did not see the porn you downloaded or the 30 text messages a stripper left you, would probably find the Smart Card Reader useful. This is another useful tool provided by RIM for the BlackBerry because it serves to pressing needs. It allows for better security in information sensitive and technology driven world and it allows employers and possibly government agencies to to keeps tabs on employees in order to create a more Orwellian type of society.
