Apple has given the go ahead for the newest version of the Hebrew Bible app by Bill Clementson. Version 2.0 includes many useful additions, such as Google Maps of over 1,000 locations of religious significance, 200 Wiki links and 8 eight different versions. This app certainly receives a round of applause from the diligent (at times) staff in our smelly little office. The biggest news about the Hebrew Bible app is not the app itself, but rather the rating given by the geniuses at Apple. What is the rating you ask? 17+ due to the mature themes found in Wikipedia. The individual in charge of the app store makes Stalin, Lenin and Fidel Castro look like a trio of forward thinking democrats. Any religious app may contain some mature themes, but anything above Apple’s 12+ rating is just unfair. Apple should start judging apps individually instead of using their idiotic dictator like scoring system so crimes like this don’t occur. In any case, those interested in checking out the Hebrew Bible app version 2.0 can learn more about it at http://bc.tech.coop/blog/index.html.
