Are you one of those poor saps which, through no fault of your own, have acquired piles of business cards over the years? Well a new iPhone app called Nameo has reared its practical head recently in the App Store and may very well abolish the business card as we know it. Nameo, made by a company called Meganova BV, allows two iPhone users to exchange virtual business cards by simply pressing on a green connect button on their iPhone. Apparently, Meganova BV is working on a similar app for other smart phones, such as the Android and Nokia. The idea is sound in my opinion. It’s about time we witnessed more positive apps like the Nameo, which do more than just provide us with another cool, albeit useless tool. Retailing at a measly $2.99 means that Nameo is affordable and while it is simple, it does what it is supposed to do. This app is sure to become popular once it is compatible with most major mobile devices.
