Attention! This is a salute that goes out to Ericsson. Not Sony Ericsson, but just the Swedish half. Ericsson will be establishing some sort of innovation centre in Africa that will target cell phone applications that will benefit society in a positive way. The innovation centre will also act as a think tank of sorts for improving health care, sustenance and stimulating business in the Dark Continent. Obviously, the purpose of this expedition/venture is two fold. 1) Help make the world a better and more positive place and 2) Make Ericsson a whole truckload of money. This is the blueprint of how successful business should be conducted and not how some companies (Apple, Vodafone, Verizon, the United States Government, Wal-Mart, etc…) behave in such a profiteering and privateer mentality. The world will benefit immensely if more companies followed Ericsson’s example. Now if only we can get the New York Yankees to agree to a salary cap.
