The Xperia X1 from Sony Ericsson will hit the shelves at the end of September in select markets. Select markets include the land of cheap furniture, (Sweden) the land of bad breakfast (UK) and the land where people love to drink beer and wear leather. (Germany) Here is a list of countries set to receive the Xperia X1 later this year:
• APAC: Indonesia, Singapore, Bangladesh, Cambodia, India, Malaysia, Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam;
• Western Europe: Spain, France, Italy, Switzerland, Netherlands, Austria, Norway, Denmark, Belgium, Portugal;
• Central Europe: Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic;
• Middle East: UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait;
• Africa: South Africa;
• Latin America: Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Paraguay and Bolivia
I often wonder who decides on release dates for each country. It must be the carriers because how else would you explain the prosperous and abundant kingdom of Bolivia receiving the Xperia X1 before the United States and China.
