Man, I never gave the Pollok’s enough credit. Apparently Orange, the iPhone carrier in Poland, has fared badly as far as iPhone sales are concerned. Polish folk have refused to be duped by the hype of the iPhone and are refusing to be suckered into long term contracts that can only be broken by giving up an arm and half a sack. Orange has actually been accused of bolstering the sparse lineups in front of stores by hiring paid actors. Orange was outraged by this ethical accusation, but did admit to sending out Orange staff members to keep the waiting customers entertained. Orange has always been a mobile carrier that has strived to deliver an image of being cool and refreshing. However, those living in Poland have apparently caught on to Orange’s scheming ways and have refused to participate – even if it means not getting their hands on the iPhone.
