Let’s not dispute the fact that we humans are a race of fools. Our addiction to MySpace, MSN, Facebook and a dozen or so more electronic time wasters is probably the main reason we haven’t found the time to do more important activities like finding a cure for cancer, or landing on Mars. Now a new piece of time wasting software is available, which pretty much guarantees the continuation of our endless spiral towards oblivion. It’s called Moot and it promises to take mobile social media to a whole new level. What Moot does is essentially follow the user around and provide constant interaction in the local Moot community. You can interact with fellow fools…. oops, I mean Mooters, talking about nothing and completely wasting you time. (MSN in other words) Don’t be na?ve though; this is an advertising idea in its purest digital form. Imagine being bombarded by Moot advertisements as you walk by your local McDonalds or Gap. Not a very pleasant experience if you have to pay for every text message you receive.
