Samsung is making a serious effort to increase its stake in the budget conscious market sector. The M150 is the cell phone giant’s attempt to provide cost effective devices without sacrificing the Samsung quality and practicality. Samsung chose the Candybar shape for the M150, not a common design in Samsung’s lineup, in order to keep the cost down. While the M150‘s design is relatively simple, it does come with quite a few bells that make it worth while. Examples include a VGA camera and the ability to play MP3s – not to mention an FM radio and 20MB of internal memory. The M150 is scheduled to debut in Germany at the end of the summer, making its rounds across the rest of the world a few months afterwards. The only drawback with the M150 is a rather hideous design. With mobile devices being 50% fashion, it remains to be seen if mobile customers will agree to sacrifice style for functionality.
