Slacker is set to launch an app that will allow iPhone and BlackBerry users to stream its content and cache – similar to iTunes podcasting. Slacker allows customization so users can quickly and easily find content that appeals to their specific interests. Slacker claims that there new service has superior sound quality when compared to similar products on the market. Slacker vice president Jonathan Sasse politically declined to be specific when asked whether or not Slacker would soon be featured on the iPhone and BlackBerry, but did reveal that his company would soon be launching their radio service on several prominent mobile devices. It remains unclear if Slacker will be available to mobile customers outside the United States. Currently, internet surfers who enter the site cannot listen to the content if they are located oversees. Slacker content is currently available free of charge with adds, or with a premium subscription that is add free.
