The newest and possibly weirdest trend right now in the cell phone world may very well be taking place in Sweden. It’s called Phone Racing and it is exactly how it sounds. Two competitors go head to head using the vibrators on their cell phones, with the winner being the owner of the phone that crosses the finish line first. The surfaces and tracks being used for Phone Racing vary greatly - from the more conventional table tops and stairs, to the more adventurous backyards and dirt roads. The Swedes apparently have no qualms about allowing their cell phones to take a savage beating and it appears that the durability factor has become a major decision when purchasing a cell phone in the Nordic north. Phone Racing has yet to travel the globe and it remains to be seen if this arguably exciting and somewhat moronic activity catches on, or remains just another Swedish pastime that the rest of the world will never understand.
