Samsung today unveiled the F400 music phone, a dual slider it said was designed to bring top quality music and sound. Equipped with ICEpower technology by Bang & Olufsen, users can enjoy naturally sounding music. The F400 offers Smart Bass technology for deep and powerful sound, and Smart Limiter to control the amplitude threshold. Other enhancements include Digital Natural Sound engine (DNSe) 2.0 which brings custom music experiences for every genre of music. When slide up, the F400 makes calls with its softly brushed metallic keypad. When slide down, it becomes a music player, revealing hidden dual stereo speakers. A silver wheel navigator on top lets users deejaying by turning the disk to tune their music. Users can find the name and artist of an unknown tune by pointing their phone at the music. The F400 boasts an integrated 3.0-megapixel camera with auto-focus, FM radio and Bluetooth 2.0. With an in-box 1 GB SD memory and a microSD slot that supports up to 8 GB, storage space is never an issue. USB 2.0 HS is available for an extra mass storage space. A 3.5 mm earphone jack lets users plug in their favorite headsets. The Samsung F400 will first be available in France in May, in two colors, black and white. It will continue to be available in other European countries as well as many other countries in Asia, Southeast Asia and Middle East.
