The popular rock band called Byrds (former title: Beefeaters) was founded in the middle 60's by Gene Clark, Jim (Roger) McGuinn, David Crosby, Chris Hillman, and Michael Clarke. Their first single entitled Mr. Tambourine Man" was released on the Elektra label in 1965 and had a great success. The record flew up to the top of European and American charts the same year.
