Vocalist and songwriter Soraya was born in the family of Lebanon immigrants in Point Pleasant, NJ, in 1969. She became popular in the middle 90's after releasing such full-length albums as On Nights Like This and En Esta Noche. The "De Repente" single raised to the top of charts all over the world and was followed by the 1997's Torre de Marfil LP.
