By the time he joined Hot Tuna band in 1970, he was already in his early fifties. With a help of his electrified violin, Creach added a new psychedelic edge to their music. After the split in 1972, Creach started to release solo albums on its own label. His last album was released in 1992, called Papa Blues and in 1994 he died because of heart failure at the age of 76.
