W.A.S.P. was one of the heavier, darker bands to emerge out of the dark eighties. The band received plenty of accolades and quickly rose to national infamy thanks to their shock rock image, lyrics, and live concerts. However, once the novelty began to wear off, people actually began to listen to W.A.S.P.'s music.
