Bono was made famous first for his singing style, as the leader of U2, the rock band from Dublin. As his voice broke out, so did the band's popularity, and carried on these winds bono and U2 as a whole have used their popularity to promote causes they seem deserving, in global politics, fighting third-world hunger and environmental issues.
