About The Kinks
At the start of their career, the Kinks were known as the Ravens, and the consisted of the brothers Ray and Dave Davies, both of them playing guitar and Peter Quaife, who played guitar but later switched to bass. By the summer of 1963 the band had also recruited the drummer Mickey Willet, and was sending demo tapes to different recording labels. They eventually signed with Pye records as the Ravens.
