About Sister Sledge
The four sisters of the Sledge family, commonly known as Sister Sledge, have started singing together under variations of the name Sister Sledge from the time they were in their early to mid teens, even releasing a couple of albums. But it was only in 1979, about seven years after they formed the group, tat Sister Sledge reached its commercial peak, namely with the disco fashion of the day and their own contribution to disco, the song We Are Family.
