The numbers that accompany Queen's long music career are extraordinary by all standards. Eighteen number one albums, starting with their third album Sheer Heart Attack in 1974, 300 million albums sold worldwide and more. Yet it does not really help erase the tragic death of lead vocalist Freddie Mercury, who died of AIDS in 1991.
