About Pantera

Pantera were a welcome phase in the development of heavy metal, as they turned toward hardcore rock and grindcore, leaving behind the thrash tempos. They might have saved heavy metal from falling to total obscurity at a time when Seattle was drawing the hard rock fans to it.
