About Naughty By Nature
Illtown refers to East Orange, New Jersey, where the three members that make up Naughty by Nature are from. New Jersey is also the home of Queen Latifah, who for a while was involved with Naughty by Nature as a mentor. Latifah even appears in a video to the hip hop anthem Hip Hop Hooray, which was directed by no other than Spike Lee.
