Like the Backstreet Boys, N Sync was also a boy band, numbering five male vocalists, and singing teen pop. Both bands were formed by Lou Pearlman, whom they had a fallout later over his shady business activities. Pearlman was out of the picture by the time N Sync released their third album, No Strings Attached, which sold a record 2.4 million copies in its first week.
