English post-punk rock Killing Joke have been very influential in the development of rock music, both dark and arty, since the early 80s. Bands from the Seattle grunge scene, the Los Angeles alternative funk rock scene and heavy mentalists too have all been influenced by Killing Joke, at least one side of the band's diverse musical styles.
