Kate bush has a voice that is hard to ignore. This explains her signing with EMI at the young age of 16. Her debut single release Wuthering Heights already topped the charts, and, years later, was said to be the first single that Suede frontman Bret Anderson has ever purchased. Her influence ranges much farther, and can be traced in Tori Amos, PJ Harvey and Golfrapp, to name only a few.
