House of Pain set out to make a name for themselves in all the wrong ways available to them. Led by rapper Everlast, the group celebrated their Irish-American heritage by wearing green, drinking prodigious amounts of beer, and swearing constantly. While this won House of Pain a lot of attention at the outset, you cannot build a career out of swearing, unless you are Jerry Springer, and the bottom fell out of House of Pain.
