Already in 1984, Frankie Goes to Hollywood were able to expose the weakness of the traditional media outlets. When the BBC Radio banned its song Relax, Frankie Goes to Hollywood only increased their sales, and the only side to come out foolish was the radio, which avoided airing a song that peaked at the charts. Frankie Goes to Hollywood, like the Sex Pistols, reached their fame initially via controversy, only to be revealed as a classy act with future releases of such songs as Two Tribes and Welcome to the Pleasuredome.
