About Earth, Wind and Fire
Maurice White founded Earth, Wind & Fire in Chicago in 1969. He had previously been a session drummer for Chess Records. Once the group was formed, Earth Wind and Fire released their first self titled debut. Although the album was well received, neither it noir the subsequent release was a commercial success.
