Whenever he writes an album, he becomes that album, rather like an alter ego. One album where thus us most evident is Ziggy Stardust. For the tour supporting the album, David Bowie dressed up and sang the story the album told, eventually redefining glam rock with his ambiguously sexy Ziggy Stardust persona
