While highly influential over the entire dance and electro music scene, as the foremost French house group ever, Daft Punk have also drawn influences from other artists, as could be expected of a band of such status. These influences are as varied as the sounds that Daft Punk create themselves. They include The Beach Boys, hard rock band MC5, The Rolling Stones and punk musicians The Stooges. More contemporary influential album is said by Daft Punk members to be Screamadelica by Primal Scream.
