About Country Joe and The Fish
In the early stages of psychedelic rock, Country Joe and the Fish were an influential band as any of the list that includes the Byrds, Buffalo Springfield and others. Members of Country Joe and the Fish included Chicken Hirsch, David Cohen and Bruce Barthol, who were joined by others on different projects. Progressive rock stations, especially around San Francisco would play Country Joe and the Fish songs such as Section 43, Janis and Grace, at times back to back.
