About Carpenters
Carpenters is a well-known band from New Haven, Connecticut that mainly plays pop and soft rock. When the Carpenters released their album, "Close To You", it became a bestseller earning Richard and Karen two Grammy Awards, including Best New Artist. The duo rounded out the year with a holiday release, "Merry Christmas Darling", which Richard co-wrote with Frank Pooler.
