That'll Be The Day was one of Buddy Holly's first songs recorded with Decca in the late 50s. The song, its title taken from The Searchers, a 1956 film featuring John Wayne, would become one of the cornerstones of the Buddy Holly heritage, which includes brilliant songs such as Everyday, Peggy Sue and Not Fade Away.
