1978 was a memorable year in the history of rock and roll, much to the credit of Blondie's third album Parallel Lines. Produced by Mike Chapman, the punk rock album would win a Grammy that year for its rock category. Heart of Glass from off this album earned Blondie a US hit, which they never before had achieved.
